Iowa PBS premieres The Making of NOËL the Musical

Go behind the scenes of a new musical that follows a young girl who is on a journey to find her mother when IPTV debuts The Making of NOËL the Musical on Monday, October 1 at 8 p.m.

Written by the author of the world renowned Artemis Fowl series, Eoin Colfer, and composed by Ireland's preeminent composer Liam Bates, “NOËL” has all the makings of an instant Christmas classic. In IPTV’s new special, The Making of NOËL the Musical, the show’s creators discuss how they brought this show to life for a musical theater debut in North America beginning with a Midwest tour.

Set in the streets of modern-day London, the musical follows a young girl, Noël, who loses her joy of performing when her mother disappears. On a journey to find her, Noël meets a motley crew of homeless characters who want to help, and in doing so they rediscover their belief in the magic of Christmas, and in themselves.

“When I think of ‘NOËL the Musical,’ the first and most important word I think of is hope,” said Michael Londra, executive producer of NOËL. “Noël, even in dire straits, has this hope shining out from her that leads people to help her. And, in helping her they help themselves.”
