Iowa PBS Presents New Season of Woodsmith Shop

Season 13 of Woodsmith Shop will feature more woodworking projects, tips and techniques than ever before, all with the fine craftsmanship that viewers love to see in the workshop. The new season premieres Tuesday, October 1 at 6:30 p.m. on statewide IPTV. New episodes will air weekly throughout the fall.

On each episode, experienced woodworkers Phil Huber, Chris Fitch and Logan Wittmer share the inside story of how a successful project goes from first sketch to final assembly. This season, viewers will learn about projects like a smartphone amp, a wall cabinet, simple shop storage, a bride’s chest, miterless picture frames, a hardware organizer cart, a trestle hall table, a cutting board, a step-back bookcase, shop-made clamps, an adjustable stool and a barnwood entry bench. The cast will also share workshop mishaps and the steps woodworkers can take to make things right.

“Thirteen seasons in, Woodsmith Shop still provides viewers with unparalleled craftsmanship while remaining focused on educating both novice and expert woodworkers,” said Executive Producer Andrea Coyle. “The show draws people into the woodworking world with a mix of easy-to-build projects and beautiful artistry. The cast is always eager to share their wealth of knowledge and love for the craft!”

Presented by IPTV, the series inspires and teaches woodworkers, home-improvement enthusiasts and those who value fine craftsmanship. Each episode shines the spotlight on a high-quality project from Woodsmith magazine and features roundtable discussions exploring a wide range of topics to help people set up and enjoy spending time in their woodworking shop.

Woodsmith Shop's website allows viewers to expand their experience with the series, offering visitors free woodworking plans, time-saving tips and even more practical videos.
