Tell Congress to put public media funding back in the budget.

Protect Public Media

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed its annual budget resolution. Their recommendation for public media funding is ZERO.

You can help restore this critical funding TODAY.

If IPTV means something to you and your family, please call your U.S. House member and voice your opinion and urge them to vote to restore these funds in the final Budget Resolution. You can find your representatives’ contact information at

Public media funding is such a small part of the federal budget. In fact, it’s about one hundredth of one percent of the federal budget – around $1.35 per American citizen per year. Getting rid of this funding would have no impact on the nation’s debt. It would only hurt the local stations you watch and listen to everyday. This funding is irreplaceable. It allows IPTV to give you the best educational, informational, enriching and inspiring programming that you can’t find anywhere else.

Without this funding, the operation of hundreds of public television and radio stations will be threatened. Programming and services provided to listeners and viewers like you would be very limited. Children would have to say goodbye to lovable characters on public television that have prepared them for success in the classroom.

IPTV is a proud partner of Protect My Public Media, a collaboration of local public radio and television stations, national distributors, producers, viewers, listeners and others who support a strong public media in the United States. The campaign is an effective tool to protect future federal funding for public media. Find out more about the campaign at
