Jun 22, 2016  | 30 min  | Ep 507

As the fourth largest food crop worldwide, potatoes are a vital vegetable to a great number of cultures. Rich in vitamin C and potassium, the potato is the star of many favorite dishes here in the United States. On this Iowa Ingredient, join host Charity Nebbe as she explore the world of the potato, as we visit One Farm in Logan where Danelle Myer grows a variety of fresh produce and vegetables, including potatoes. Then Krista Farnsworth from Her Soup Kitchen in Iowa City will share a few creative recipes showing what’s possible with potatoes.
