In a two week period, Hurricanes Eta and Iota left a path of destruction throughout Central America, killing dozens, overflowing rivers and forcing evacuations in Honduras and Nicaragua. The frequency and increase in the intensity of storms brings into question if there is a relationship between extreme weather and climate change. PBS NewsHour Weekend explores that question with a Marine and Atmospheric Sciences scientist who has been modeling climate extremes.
