2015 IGHSAU Girls State Swimming & Diving | 500 Freestyle/200 Free Relay

The longest race of the 2015 IGHSAU State Swimming and Diving championships was over early on as Allyssa Fluit claimed her sixth individual gold medal of her high school career. The Southeast Polk senior ran away from the field in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:54.78. The future Hawkeye was followed by Libby Staver of Pleasant Valley at 5:02.49 and Olivia Jenks of Ames at 5:03.79. 
Fluit would anchor the 200 Freestyle Relay for the Rams and a third place finish at 1:37.58. Cedar Falls was second at 1:37.27 and the champion in the 200 Freestyle Relay was Ames. The team of Sophie Sorenson, Sarah Bell, Olivia Jenks and Amy Feddersen swam a 1:35.57 race for the Little Cyclones who would win every relay at the 2015 meet.
