Join Iowa PBS for a free, in-person premiere of the new documentary, USS Iowa. This film shines light on the USS Iowa, a legendary battleship built to defend America during World War II. Its presence as a symbol of naval war power and now as a living museum is intertwined with the men and women who served the USS Iowa for over 80 years through campaigns of triumph and tragedy.

On February 19 at the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum in Johnston, Iowa PBS will host TWO premiere screenings of USS Iowa with showings at both 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

  • If you register for the 2 p.m. screening, you will have the opportunity to explore the museum after the advance screening.
  • If you register for the 3 p.m. screening, you will have the opportunity to explore the museum before the advance screening, so please plan accordingly.

Light refreshments will be served.
