Behind-the-Scenes 3 Kitchens Day Tour (Sold Out)

It's time for a day tour. In celebration of the cooking programs airing on Iowa PBS, we've created a unique tour visiting three different kitchens in the Des Moines area. We'll start with a visit to the Dotdash Meredith Test Kitchens where recipes and domestic how-to hints are dished up in their Better Homes & Gardens magazine that has become a mainstay in American homes over the past 100 years.

Then it's off the the Iowa Culinary Institute at DMACC where their Culinary Arts program gives students industry-driven, hands-on, practical experience and knowledge. We'll be able to test their talent as we enjoy lunch at their bistro which is curated and executed by their bistro students and staff.

Our last stop of the day will be Center Grove Orchard in Cambridge. This family-owned apple orchard makes some of the best pastries found in Iowa. We'll see how they ramp up the production in their bakery to meet their fall demand and enjoy a piece of their made-from-scratch pies.
