Chef Lynn's Pasta Recipe | Iowa Ingredient from Home

Chef Lynn Pritchard from Table 128 shares one of his family pasta recipes. Make room in your refrigerator, because it makes a lot!

Ingredients:

  • Dried Pasta
  • 1 1/2 tsp fennel
  • olive oil
  • Italian sausage
  • heavy cream
  • roasted butternut squash, diced
  • fresh Parmesan cheese
  • kale

Cook pasta according to directions. In a frying pan, heat olive oil to medium high. Toast fennel until golden on the edges. Add sausage and cook through.

In a separate saucepan, add heavy cream and heat to a simmer.

Once sausage is cooked, add your butternut squash and half of your heavy cream. Mix together. Add remaining heavy cream and heat until slightly thickened. Add kale and cook until kale is softened.

In a large bowl combine your cooked pasta with sauce. Serve and enjoy!
