Iowa PBS a finalist in national Public Media Awards

The National Educational Telecommunications Association announced the finalists for the 57th Annual Public Media Awards today. Iowa PBS is a finalist in three categories:
- Military Chronicles — Dogs of Service
- Excellence in Education — Iowa PBS educational impact
- Performing Arts — Studio 3 LIVE: The Foxies
The Public Media Awards, presented by NETA, honor association members’ finest work in community engagement, content, education and marketing. The awards represent a mosaic of relevant content that reflects both creativity and diversity and paints rich stories of truth and consequence.
Award winners will be announced on Monday, September 15 during the virtual 2025 NETA conference.
With the exception of the overall excellence categories, stations or statewide networks compete within their divisions based on their size. Awards are judged by a group of expert panelists from within the public media system, as well as industry professionals working outside of public media. More information, including a full list of nominees, can be found at netaonline.org.
NETA is a professional association offering leadership, general audience content, educational services, professional development and financial management services to public media licensees and public media as a whole.
