Iowa PBS’s music series Studio 3 LIVE returns for a third season

A new lineup of local, regional and national artists will take the Studio 3 LIVE stage to perform original sets and share their musical journeys when season 3 of the series premieres Friday, September 26 at 8:30 p.m. Episodes will premiere weekly on Fridays at 8:30 p.m. on Iowa PBS and the PBS app. The program is also available on YouTube and wherever you get your podcasts.

Performances and interviews for each episode are recorded at the Iowa PBS studios in Johnston with a live audience. This season brings together an inspiring mix of well-known talent and fresh new voices:

“The music this season spans genres and generations,” said Iowa PBS Senior Producer and Director Andrea Coyle. “From powerhouse blues and honky-tonk swing to indie pop, Irish traditions and a holiday celebration, we’re bringing audiences an exciting mix of familiar names and fresh discoveries.”

Hosted by Mickey Davis, each episode features interview segments woven throughout the program to learn about each performer, their creative process and what drives them to make their music.
