Season 4 of Iowa PBS’s magazine-style series Iowa Life premieres Monday, October 5 at 9:30 p.m.

Join host Charity Nebbe as she explores the culture, creativity and people that make Iowa unique. From a Central Iowa man who has spent two decades honoring veterans by placing headstones on unmarked graves, to a ceramicist who found healing through clay and created a therapeutic ceramics class for people living with rheumatic conditions, each episode shines a light on Iowans who are making a difference in their communities pursuing their passions.

This season, Iowa Life also steps onto the court with Iowa’s Granny Basketball League, where women over 50 stay active and build friendships; meets 13-year-old speedcuber Max McGill; and introduces us to Bing, the Great Dane from Newton who made his Hollywood debut alongside Bill Murray and Naomi Watts in the 2025 film The Friend

Viewers will also meet the teenage entrepreneurs behind a Waterloo pie bakery, explore the world of hobby horsing, follow the RAGBRAI Dream Team, and discover more remarkable Iowans whose stories demonstrate that extraordinary experiences can be found in communities across Iowa.

Through compelling stories and conversations, each Iowa Life story offers a glimpse into the people, passions and places that make Iowa special.

“There are so many stories to tell across Iowa.” said Iowa PBS Senior Producer and Director Theresa Knight. “Each season of Iowa Life gives us an opportunity to share those stories with our viewers and highlight some of the unique experiences that make Iowa such a great place to call home.”

New episodes premiere on the first Monday of each month at 9:30 p.m., with repeat broadcasts Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m., Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. and Sundays at 10:30 a.m. The series is also available to stream on iowapbs.org/iowalife and the PBS app.
