Join Iowa PBS at Bricker-Price Block in Earlham on May 2 at 6 p.m. for a screening of Iowa’s Wild Weather: Storms and a Q&A-style discussion.

Iowa’s Wild Weather: Storms looks into storms that have inflicted high levels of damage on Iowa’s residents and land in recent decades, and explores the changing climate and its impact on said storms. From the August 2020 derecho to the tornado outbreak in Central Iowa last March, Iowa has seen its fair share of destructive storms recently.

Following the screening, there will be a community discussion about Iowa’s storms and our ever-changing weather with the state climatologist of Iowa, Dr. Justin Glisan, and Madison County Emergency Management Director, Diogenes Ayala.

“I find it very important to highlight shows like this one to demonstrate how deadly weather can be.” Ayala said. “I appreciate the collaboration with Iowa PBS on this showing.”

Refreshments will be provided. Registration has closed for this event.

The documentary will premiere statewide on April 19 at 6:30 p.m. on Iowa PBS.
