Day 10: Iowa State Fair Photo Gallery
On the last Saturday of the fair, our TV crews were wrapping up the final nightly show, but attendees continued to pour into the fairgrounds, enjoying everything from the Ladies' Nail Driving Contest to the morning Llama Show.

Llamas strutted their stuff this morning at the Pulver Outdoor Arena.

The Ladies' Nail Driving Contest at the Iowa State Fair is fun for the audience, showcasing strength and precision from the participants

The I [heart] ISF sign is even more fun lit up at night.

Participants hitched weights to their battery-operated, handmade miniature trucks in the 4x4 Stomper Pull.

A longtime fixture at Pioneer Hall, the blacksmiths answered questions while working their trade.

The Iowa PBS booth at the fair has been a popular destination, both for the life-size Clifford the Dog and the much appreciated fans being handed out.

Pioneer Hall is often a source of music at the fair, and on Saturday, Aug. 16, it included a famous musician - Elvis himself.

The 1940s era Linotype type setter in Pioneer Hall's Print Shop is used throughout the fair to showcase printing in a different era.

A common sight throughout the fair, cattle were being washed and brushed on Saturday afternoon.

A fairgoer playfully captures our photographer with a camera of her own.

The crowds continued to pour into the Grand Concourse even with a heat index over 100 on Saturday.
