Public Media Giving Days Coming May 1-2
Iowa PBS is excited to participate in the fourth annual Public Media Giving Days campaign, which will take place on May 1 and 2. Public Media Giving Days invites you to support your local public media stations and share what you love about public media.
This time last year, it was announced that all public media stations would lose their federal funding. Iowa PBS ultimately lost around 18% of our annual budget and will now operate without those funds every year going forward. Over the past year, Iowans have stepped up to help support Iowa PBS in its ongoing mission to educate, inform, enrich and inspire viewers across the state. But our work isn't over. We're asking for your continued support to keep Iowa PBS free and available to everyone for generations to come.
Make your donation today to support all the programs that Iowa PBS provides, including:
- High-quality, educational programming that entertains, informs and inspires Iowa’s children
- Programs that make you laugh, cry and feel connected to the world around you
- Hysterical comedies and masterful dramas that captivate our hearts
- Up-to-date news and information about topics that affect you
- Travel programs that take you to outer space or across the globe
- Local high school and college sports so you can cheer on your hometown team
