Question:

How might the energy of motion from a spinning wind turbine be able make it into your home to be used as electricity?

Wind turbines are much bigger than they seem when they are up close.

Transcript

[Narrator] Blowing wind turns the blades of a wind turbine. The spinning blades turn the gears in the gear box, which causes a generator in the turbine to generate electricity. That electricity travels down the wind turbine through wires to a substation. The substation sends the electricity to homes in a community powering things like refrigerators, TVs and everything else in the homes.
