I feel like people just need to be more open-minded about, women can be better than men sometimes. Like it's okay, you just gotta get over it.

In Our Own Words: Women’s Equality

How can we achieve equality?

Uplift the voices of women and make sure our voices are heard on every level that men's are.

When women finally accept other women for who they are, we'll finally reach equality.

I think it's not an issue just with men, it's an issue with women as well to put down other women for who they are and put down other women for who they want to be and I don't think that's okay.

If we can get more women to the polls, if we can get more women to run for office, even if we can get more women to call or email their legislator and let them know how they feel about whatever pending legislation might be out there, women can make a difference.

I think we need to get to the point where we look at people as individuals rather than just looking at you're a woman and so then you have all of these preconceived expectations about what we're able to do. And the same thing can be said about men.

Individuals can vote to stand up for equality. Individuals can not only educate themselves, but educate those around them. Individuals, especially those who have privilege, can use their privilege to protect the oppressed.

I think it needs to come down to realizing that we're the same people, just different genders. But we're doing the same thing and living the same lives, we're trying to get money to provide for families or provide for ourselves and be human beings basically, right?
