Iowa PBS Presents the 2026 IGHSAU Girls State Softball Championships

From regional battles to the big stage, Iowa girls are chasing championship dreams! Don’t miss a moment — Iowa PBS will be there live as champions are crowned.

The statewide network’s commitment to girls high school sports coverage continues as teams from across the state compete at the 2026 IGHSAU Girls State Softball Championships. Coverage of each class’ title game will begin on Thursday, July 23 at 5 p.m. and Friday, July 24 at 2:30 p.m. The championship games will be played at Harlan Rogers Park in Fort Dodge. Each game will be broadcast on statewide Iowa PBS and livestreamed on iowapbs.org and YouTube.

Iowa PBS will feature Aly Cappaert and Brad Wells as announcers for the two Thursday night games. Laura Leonard and Paul Yeager will announce the three games on Friday.

Thursday, July 23

  • Class 4A — 7 p.m.

Friday, July 24

  • Class 1A — 2:30 p.m.
