During the event, you'll expand your knowledge of the art of wine tasting with the fundamental five S's: see, swirl, sniff, sip, and savor. Don’t miss this evening of discovery and indulgence where you're sure to learn something new about the wonderful world of Italian wine -- and perhaps about Rick too!

Your pledge of $150 to attend this event includes: 
- Access to the virtual wine tasting event with 2 hours of wine education and a live Q&A led by the sommelier and Rick Steves
- 6 mini bottles of wine (enough for 2 individuals to participate in the tasting) which includes 3 red wines, 2 white wines and a rose -- all from Italy and shipped directly to your door.

Guests must be at least 21 years old to participate in alcohol related events. 

Don't delay! Tickets are limited and registration is only open until January 17 at 3 p.m. to allow for timely shipment of wine tasting kits.

Shipping Details

  • Make sure that your address is submitted correctly. Failure to type your address accurately will result in a shipping delay or even the possibility that your ticket can not be fulfilled.
  • Ticket holders will receive their wine tasting kits in the days before the virtual event on February 11.
  • Ticket holders will need to be home to show identification and sign upon delivery of their wine to prove you are 21+ years of age. The wine kit will not be delivered without a signature.
  • Please open your kit when it arrives to ensure that you are ready to sip along with us on February 11. If you have questions regarding your kit, please contact Friends of Iowa PBS by phone at 800.728.2828 or email to friends@iowapbs.org.
  • Kits cannot be shipped to Canada or the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Mississippi, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Utah.
  • The wine kit cannot be shipped to a PO Box.

How it works

This virtual event will take place via Zoom Webinar. Zoom is a free to the public but you do need to download Zoom before the event. 

By getting a ticket for this event, you agree to receive timely news and updates from Friends of Iowa PBS. Your registration information will be shared with our vendor for the shipment of the wine kits. The vendor will use your information only to communicate about your order.
