Rose Parade New Years Getaway Tour

Ring in the new year with sunshine, celebration and iconic Southern California sights with Friends of Iowa PBS. We'll start our tour with a visit to the historic Battleship USS IOWA and go on an unforgettable journey where history comes to life through the powerful stories of those who served.  Then it's time to discover history at Mission San Juan Capistrano and soak up coastal charm in Newport Beach and Laguna Beach, followed by celebrating the end of the year at an unforgettable New Year's Eve Dinner Party.

 

We'll welcome in the new year in style as we witness the world-famous Tournament of Roses Parade from reserved grandstand seating for the ultimate up-close view.  After the parade, we'll enjoy a classic lunch at Lawry’s in Beverly Hills and take in Hollywood highlights including Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive, and a guided Hollywood & Beverly Hills tour. 

 

The next morning we'll enjoy the dazzling Showcase of Floats up close so we can appreciate the design and workmanship that goes into each creation.  Then we'll visit the Getty Museum, renowned for its permanent collection of art, unique gardens and spectacular city views.  Our last day in the O.C. finds us heading south to sunny San Diego for a city tour and scenic harbor cruise. 

 

Blending holiday festivities, glamorous landmarks and coastal beauty, this unforgettable journey is the perfect way to welcome the new year in style.
