The ISDTA has hosted a solo competition for nearly 50 years. This allows individuals from dance and color guard teams to compete at the solo level. Because of the massive growth over the years, the ISDTA now holds a qualifying event for solos. The top ten finalists from each class advance on to the state championships in Des Moines.
