Tractor Wars II Screening & Discussion

11 a.m.
Living History Farms Learning Center
11121 Hickman Rd, Urbandale, IA

Join Iowa PBS at Living History Farms for a screening of Tractor Wars II, followed by a panel discussion celebrating the International Year of the Woman Farmer.

Tractor Wars II focuses on the tractor industry from 1929 through 1959 when companies started working toward making mechanized farming part of everyday life in rural America. The major manufacturers, International Harvester, Ford and John Deere, fought for market supremacy through the Great Depression and World War ll. By the 1950s they were all looking at how their designs fit into the equation of power and affordability.

Registration is not required, but it is appreciated to help us plan for seating.

The screening and panel discussion are included with general admission to Living History Farms. You may purchase tickets in advance here or at the door. Before and after, enjoy Grain Harvest activities throughout the museum.
