An Afternoon With George and Martha Washington
Celebrate America's 250th anniversary with a memorable afternoon of history and hospitality with George and Martha Washington.
We'll learn the remarkable story of America's first couple through an engaging presentation by Denise Baker Hamilton from the Jean Marie Cardinell Chapter of the NSDAR, that explores their marriage, family life, leadership, and enduring legacy. Colonial-inspired refreshments, Washington trivia and and a reading of The Preamble to the United States Constitution round out the afternoon. George and Martha, portrayed by historical interpreters Dr. Bill and Jeanne McMillan, will meet and mingle with guests and pose for photos as well.
Join us for this fun event where we'll discover how George and Martha's partnership helped shape a new nation while gaining fresh insight into the lives behind two of America's most iconic historical figures. Tickets are $50 each and seating is limited.
