The 2017 Iowa State Fair parade features more than 140 different floats, animals, vehicles and performing units. Leroy & Pat Perkins of Wayne County serve as this year’s parade marshals. The Iowa State Fair Parade is the state's largest parade and sets the stage for the Iowa State Fair each year. Iowa PBS’s live coverage marks first time the Iowa State Fair Parade was broadcast statewide in 15 years.
