George Washington Carver

George Washington Carver

George Washington Carver 1864(?)-1943. Agricultural chemist Carver discovered over 300 uses for peanuts and many uses for soybeans, pecans and sweet potatoes. He attended Simpson College in Indianola and transferred to Iowa State College. He taught there for a brief period.
