Gatlat
Sudan/Ethiopia, Fourth Grade

I go to school in my native school. We go to school at eight clock. And after school we come back twelve clock. We don't have a lot of thing in Ethiopia. We don't have a lot of game. One time we play outside. It's not every day. This is my house in Sudan. But sometime... we build this house too... the animal live here, the people live here...

School in Iowa

I'm real sad, because some people say something, I don't know what they talking about. I can't talk, I can't talk what he say... I don't know what he say. I like the school now because I know English.
