Collins Radio Helps in the Space Race, ca.1966

Engineers test the communication system provided by Cedar Rapids based Collins Radio Company for the three-man Apollo spacecraft. The system was used in the program to land American astronauts on the moon. It provided voice and data communications with Earth for the Apollo command module. The system transmitted television signals to Earth and made tracking the spacecraft possible. ca. 1966.
