The study of meat packing and its complexity - Dr. Azzeddine Azzam 

One of the first disruptions on the global food supply during March of 2020 was in the meatpacking industry. Safety precautions made their way onto the line, in break rooms and other locations at processing plants. The pandemic added a layer of complexity to the industry. Dr. Azzeddine Azzam, a professor of agricultural economics at the University of Nebraska, is now looking at the conduct of plants during production shutdowns and the ramifications of expanding small-scale meat processing.
