Chasing Storms with Melanie Metz

Podcast Season 4 Episode 406
Storm chasers are willing to drive many miles to get to the front of a storm in search of the perfect shot and helping others knowing when and were a storm will hit. Melanie Metz has been at storm chasing for many years.

Severe weather strikes fear in some and launches others into the storm’s path in an effort to get images of a tornado touching down. Melanie Metz has been driven to chase storms for decades and was part of the WE TV reality show Twister Sisters. The Minnesota woman has also partnered with an organization called Girls Who Chase and is using her passion for storm chasing to inspire girls and women to pursue the sciences and weather. This week, we’ll discuss safety, miles covered and the signs that tell you your forecasting led you to the right spot before a storm comes to town.
